Friends of Theta Nu include alumnae and members of the Theta Nu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Incorporated, and likeminded individuals, businesses, and organizations who are also committed to being of "Service to All Mankind."   The Foundation and its friends believe that there is virtue in being of service to others and that through the delivery of service we provide purpose to our own lives, to our businesses and those in our communities.  

On March 2, 2024, the Foundation will celebrate Theta Nu's 50th Anniversary.  The celebration will include several events and activities focused on providing service to members of the College Park and surrounding communities; promoting and raising funds for the AKA Incentive Award Fund and the AKA Scholarship Fund, and fellowship of Foundation members and friends. 

In support of this milestone celebration, friends of Theta Nu are invited to attend the 50th Anniversary Reception and Gala.  We also invite our members and friends to consider event sponsorship or the purchase of a souvenir journal advertisement.  Sponsorships offers the opportunity to promote your business or organization at our events and through various media platforms (print and digital), support scholarships at the University of Maryland and includes premium seating at the Anniversary Reception and Gala.  Advertisement in the 50th Anniversary Souvenir Journal also offers the opportunity to promote your business or organization, share a congratulatory message and support our scholarships.  The journal is expected to reach more than 3,000 members and friends of Theta Nu.
